The 1st yr. Western Bonelli’s Warbler at Kenidjack showed well during the last 3 days. It was eventually heard calling. It was also Cornwall’s first in July.
That heat wave must have prompted a good movement of Phylloscs.



Pendeen seawatch 0600-1030 (with P. Combridge, Nigel Rogers, Pete Clement, Royston):

5 Balearic Shearwaters,
17 Whimbrel,
5 Med Gulls
normal feeding Manx numbers.

Still very slow. Poor variety. Better times to come.
