Description

Our Avalon Marshes tour is back by popular demand in 2026! The bird life at RSPB Ham Wall never fails to provide our groups with some amazing experiences, be that booming Bitterns, Bearded Tits in the reeds, Hobby’s hunting in flocks of up to 40 birds! or Marsh Harriers quartering the reed beds at close quarters. Ham Wall is a photographers dream. On previous tours we saw GREAT REED WARBLER, Glossy Ibis, Great White, Little and Cattle Egrets, Bearded Tits, Black-tailed Godwits, Hobbys, Marsh Harriers, Little Ringed Plovers, Garganeys, lots of Bitterns, Cuckoo, Garden, Willow, Cetti’s, Sedge and Reed Warblers, Kingfishers and much, much more!

We meet at HQ, Hayle at 6am as we aim to get to Ham Wall for 9am. Happy to pick up along the A30, M5 corridor if needed! Bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing. The footpaths are well maintained and there are no inclines, but the reserve is large and we cover a few miles during the day. For further details contact Paul at [email protected]
