EUROPEAN HONEY BUZZARD – one over 60ft Cover, Porthgwarra this afternoon

WILSON’S STORM PETREL – one of Godrevy Head this morning. With 2 European Storm Petrel

PECTORAL SANDPIPER – one still at Walmsley Sanctuary. Also Wood Sandpiper

GREAT SHEARWATER – one flew west past Godrevy Head this morning; 4 from Pelagic in Mounts Bay

CORY’S SHEARWATER – 15 from pelagic off Mounts Bay, also 2 Balearic Shearwaters, 4 Sooty Shearwaters and 60+ European Storm Petrels

TUESDAY 8TH AUGUST 2023 –  Seawatching Highlights

Lizard Point – 4 Wilson’s Petrels, 300+ Cory’s Shearwaters, 2 Balearic Shearwaters, 20 Sooty Shearwaters

Pendeen – Wilson’s Petrel past at 1340hrs

Porthgwarra – 5 Wilson’s Petrels, 154 Cory’s, 30 Great and 15 Sooty Shearwaters

Trevose Head – Wilson’s Petrel reported close inshore from lighthouse at 12.05hrs

Falmouth – Wilson’s Petrel flew west at 13.30hrs, 114+European Storm Petrels and a Balearic Shearwater

Great Egret – 22 flew ESE over St Ives yesterday evening

Wood Sandpiper – one still at Stithians Reservoir
