Description

Our Full day tour visiting some of the bird watching hot spots in Cornwall in search of Autumn migrants, especially Waders. We will visit Hayle Estuary for Dunlin, Curlew Sandpiper, Ringed Plover, Knot, Curlew, Black and Bar-tailed Godwits, Turnstone and hopefully some American waders! Previously the estuary has held Semipalmated Sandpiper, Baird’s Sandpiper, Lesser Yellowlegs, Long-billed Dowitcher and Least Sandpiper at this time of year. The rest of the days itinerary will be governed by where the birds are. We will head further west to one or two of the Cornish Valleys looking for migrants like Pied and Spotted Flycatcher, Redstart, Wryneck and hoping for other rarities too!

Meet at HQ for 8am – Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing.

Moderate pace with a bit of walking (depending on which valley we attend)
