We have teamed up once again with AK Wildlife Cruises for our 7 hour Seabird and Cetaceans Pelagic Boat Tours. Their new catamaran means more space and more sets of eyes looking out for seabirds like Sooty, Manx, Balearic, Great, Cory’s Shearwaters, European and Wilson’s Storm Petrels, Puffins, Fulmars, Gannets, Terns, Auks and Gulls along with Cetaceans and possibly Whales, like Minke, Fin and Humpbacked Whale, Risso’s and Common Dolphins, Porpoise and Basking Sharks! These trips really are a photographers dream, with Dolphins bow-riding right next to the boat! We only have two dates running at the moment and at a much lower price than some of the major tour companies! We meet at 10 am at Falmouth Marina, North Parade. The car park is pay and display. We can offer a lift for up to 8 people if you live west of Hayle. This is an extra £5 to cover fuel and parking and can be arranged when booking. We can also pick up in Camborne as we pass through there. It can get quite choppy on occasion even with the new boat, so be prepared. We wont be using ‘chum’ as Captain Keith generally heads for ‘build ups’ of birds so no smelly fish offal, you’ll be pleased to know! Bring plenty to drink and eat if you wish and dress for the weather. Sun-cream is a good idea as you can easily burn out on the water! Went on my third tour yesterday and again it didn't disappoint. The pace was just right with several sites covered and plenty of time to take photos and observe the birds. Paul has amazing knowledge and eyesight - spotting birds way out to sea or in the far distance that we could then look at with a scope. Thoroughly recommended. I'll be back!

A full day with Cornwall Bird Tours. 8am until 5pm and weather more like August than October - amazing. A carefully thought out tour which took us to migration hotspots around west Cornwall. My third trip with CBT and I reckon pushed 60+ species during the weekend including; Cattle Egret, Chough, Firecrest, Redstarts, Grey Wagtails, Rose Coloured Starling, Little Stint, Curlews, Turnstone, Med Gulls, Ruff and Grey Plover to list a few. Two really knowledgeable guides who catered for novice birdwatchers and more experienced birders, a great way to meet like minded people and superb Cornish scenery away from the tourist areas. We had a wonderful day birding together as a family with Paul as our guide. We're beginners but saw a lot, including a wonderful experience of a peregrine right up close to us near some cliffs. Paul was very generous with his knowledge, including other animals along the coast (seals, an adder, etc). We all had a wonderful time.

After going on three separate day tours with Cornwall Birdwatching Tours I decided to go on the big week tour to the Isles of Scilly during autumn 2022.
