Join us for a days birding in Devon! We arrive at our first destination, Yarner Woods on the east side of Dartmoor at 9am where we will search for early summer visitors like Pied Flycatcher, Wood Warbler, Willow Warbler, Tree Pipit and Redstart. We will also be keeping and eye and ears out for the elusive Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers and other resident birds like Marsh Tit, Yellowhammer, Great Spotted and Green Woodpeckers, Nuthatch and Treecreeper. After lunch we head for Challacombe Farm and Sousson’s Plantation. Here we head across the moors looking for Whinchat, Cuckoo, Wheatear, Grasshopper Warbler and other Moorland species Bring a packed lunch and other refreshments, clothing suitable for the weather and optics as required. There are a couple of gentle inclines at Yarner and a good walk at Challacombe but all done at a leisurely pace.
